After so many disappointments, so many unprofessional dentists, and high prices, I finally I found a great dentist.  A month before my wedding I decided to get veneers, I had a diastema. Everything was done at exactly on time, I am thrilled, my teeth look very natural and the prices are quite lower than at other private dentists. I could not believe that a dental practice could  have such a pleasant atmosphere, and do their job exceptionally well. Even though they’re not located near where I live, I will only go to DCM from now on. It’s worth it! I whole heartedly recommend them, really!  

I think we as patients are sometimes too demanding because we consider our problems to the biggest in the world.  We should not criticize when a person is stressed, and we know that most of us are stressed when it comes to our teeth. I’m a little more complicated as a patient in the sense that I do not have patience and that usually provokes a reaction from a dentist. By Dr.Ivan Miletic and his team, I  came across a normal attitude and understanding, since it was not the first time they had a stressed patient. Actually, expertise and the final results are more important to me, and I’ve just finished treatment with implants  and crowns. I have already forgotten everything, the stress and such. Now I am happy and smiling because I think that Dental Center Miletic did a good job, which is most important. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize and thank them. Dentists. Uh … Ever since I can remember my worst days were those when I “had to” go to the dentist.  I remember, even though it was a long time ago, the first time my mother took me to the dentist. She told me fairytales about these dentists, but when I came to the medical health clinic and when the door opened, a huge woman with a white coat and a strange smell appeared in front of me. Kindly she called my name and then as a child, I sat on the dental chair for the first time. She examined my teeth and took the drill into her hands calling it “Maya the bee” to show me that it was a great toy with which we fix the caries decayed tooth. I still did not trust her nor did I find her nice…  The sight of my mother who was standing behind the large dentist and the fear I can remember to this day.  Now comes the plot of the story. I started to scream, even though nothing hurt. Hysteria overtook me and the moment when the dentist turned to my mother to ask her to calm me down, I jumped up from the chair, and ran out door … I ran as far as I could, none of the people (patients) who were sitting the waiting rooms stopped me even though was evident that I was scared sh***. Finally the doorman grabbed me and held me until my very upset mother came and scolded me over the next few hours.

My second visit to the dentist was with my dad, because he was authoritative, and I was considered “impossible”, but this time it would be different. Yes, and it was … It was then that I met a drill called “Bumblebee” and that day Maya the bee and Bumblebee were both in my mouth. However, instead of the previous dentist, this was a male dentist who talked about “Maya the Bee” and “Bumblebee” having fun in my mouth. I didn’t run this time because I was afraid of the dentist and my dad who was scowling at me.  I only yelled loudly because everything hurt, but I was good and got ice-cream as a reward.

I remember that my baby teeth fell out early and my permanent teeth started growing, but fear of the dentist was still at large. My teeth hurt, caries spread and I suffered great pain. I remember that we did not have painkillers at home, and only Asprin was available for those God forbidden situations. I never wanted to tell my parents about my tooth pain because they would send me to the dentist, which was not what I wanted.

Then came puberty, when everyone laughed and all had beautiful teeth, and me unhappy that I could not smile like everyone else. I decided to go to the dentist and hear about a Dr.  Zubundžiju (imagine a surname which refers to the tooth) and I go to him. I have to say that the dentist was very pleasant and considerate at first, but while in his office, I realized he was stingy because he never wanted to me give local anesthesia and was known to say that a dentist was not cool if gave a patient anesthesia and would painlessly treat tooth, and that my reaction to the pain said more about me. Today I would say that I was well-hustled and suffer thoroughly. We hung out for half a year and I partially got a nice smile.

Since then many years have passed and the work I had done become worn out and was in need of replacement. Who should I go to now? I began to research and soon a year had passed. My problems were increasing. Researching, I ran into one video that I found very intriguing.

Then I found a page on Facebook and reviewed in detail all the works that were done in the dental office of  dr. Ivan Miletic. He’s the one, I thought.  I only want to go by him. Why? What did I find appealing?  I really do not know. Throughout that year I had been to three consultations and had three assessments by three different dentists. I would leave unsatisfied, embarrassed, and unhappy, but always thinking that I was going to contact Dr. Miletic.

My problems in the mouth had been piling up and there was no more time left, nor energy nor the will to delay. My visualization of being in that dental office became an obsession. What worried me was that the doctor was in Sesvetski Kraljevec.  Dear God, could it be any further? – I thought. So how am I going to go there and come back? Well, never mind … I decided to go whatever happens, happens.

I remember, it was January when I called the office and was greeted by a cheerful, perky, and very positive person. It was assistant Vanja with whom I talked to for about half an hour. The first person who did not ignore me, that listened to me, and who had the answers to some of my questions. It with her that I then arranged my first appointment.

You know what. After I hung up, I was really, really happy and as if I was already there.  The first initial examination was in a week. The whole week passed so slowly, but then came that day. I found the office went into the waiting room where there were patients sitting, several of them. The ambience waiting room was filled with the sense of sterility, with lots of light and the sounds of those bees and bumblebees, but also a thunderous laughter that came from within the office. At one point, a petite blonde with long hair appeared at the assistants station, and she politely welcomed me. I introduced myself and she asked me to fill out some paperwork. While I was filling out the paperwork, the door to the office opened and through them came out a dark, slender, cheerful woman dressed all in white with white teeth with braces, she cordially introduced herself. Yes, that was assistant Vanja. This positive energy, that handshake with those welcoming words and sentences I still remember today, “Sir, I’m glad to meet you, do not worry everything will be all right You are in the right place.” I really felt special.

A few minutes later of the office appeared a large man, the one from youtube,  Dr. Miletic. He came out into the waiting room, introducing himself, reaching out his hand and calling me into the office where he examined my teeth, assessed the situation and tried to explain what all needed to be done. Communication was was reasonable, simple, open and benevolent. Yes that’s him. Just the way that had I wanted him to be.

I went back to the waiting room, and waited for my treatment plan. The doctor had personally brought it out and sat down opposite me and talked to about me all the work that needed to be done. After the consultation, I went home. The amount we discussed was substantial, but the situation was what it was. I choose the best for myself. The impression that I got was unlike any that so far. I remember a sentence he said when I said I was to blame for the situation I had in my mouth. Doctor Miletic told me: “It’s okay, do not be so hard on yourself. We’ll sort it all out and you will be satisfied, believe me. My goal is the satisfaction of my patients and I will do my best to make it so! “Yes, that is him, confident in himself, and he can be because the work that I saw reflected the quality of work he did.

A week after the consultation, I was working on combinations of how and in what way I would pay for all the work I had to do in my mouth, I was searching for solutions. One day the phone rang, an unknown number  I answered, it was assistant Vanja calling to ask me how I was and if I understood everything we discussed and whether she needed to further clarify anything. I was astounded. What patient care … wow … Yes, that’s it …

When I consolidated my finances, I called and arranged to start my rehabilitation. I passed through the entire team of Miletic … I was a little puzzled why certain procedures were done by  other of the doctor’s colleagues, but now I understand. In dr. Miletic’s practice, is a professional team and they are all experts in a particular field, which I would like to tell you as well.  Dr. Luca has a light hand, rarely speaks, but you don’t feel anything that she does. Dr. Stanko is an excellent surgeon who speaks just as little, but when he does, it is in a fun manner which is great for putting you in ease. Dr. Ivan was always smiling, ready to joke around,  professional and serious at his job, always ready to spend more material, just to achieve what he had already planned. There are others, Dr. Višnja  that I did not have a chance to meet, but as long as she is there and is part of the team, it means she’s great. Beside them, there is assistant Andrea that is always serious and very professional and assistant Vanja who is always ready to communicate, give you a smile, encourage you and be at your service the entire time of your stay in the office.

Finally, I would like to say that everything a person can experience at the dentists, I went through it (fears, drilling, root canals, implants (operation) stitches, extractions of teeth (roots, and root fragments) removing stitches, impressions) and went through it all without fear and shame. Even though I live 20 kilometers away, I look forward to my visits.

Today, I know that I have the best dentist whom I would not change for anything in the world, even though dentists were my worst nightmare. I choose the best for myself and I chose dr. Ivan Miletic and his team.
